Dear Friends of Dusit International

We now live in a world where we are all part of the larger global community and where technology brings us all so much closer together. We have also realised that even as we grow and develop our company we must provide for the future, as such, the environmental impact must be addressed from the very first turning of the ground. We have already begun by making significant efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, with all Dusit International properties undertaking the EarthCheck Programme in order to receive independent and comprehensive proof of our environmental commitment and become EarthCheck certified by 2011. As a matter of fact, during Earth Hour on 26 March, all our hotels and resorts actively participated in bringing this message to all our Dusit family, including our staff, guests and partners alike. There were some truly innovative energy saving ideas, which we would like to share with you, to heighten the need for a better world and for the future of our children.

On this occasion, we would also like to convey our deepest concerns to our Japanese friends who have been affected by the tragic earthquake. Dusit International has launched the Japan & Dusit - Friends Forever appeal to encourage our guests and staff to make a generous donation to help relieve the situation. All donations will go to the Japan Red Cross through Thai-Japanese Association, from today until 18 April 2011. We send our warmest wishes to our Japanese friends, and we will work together with our otomodachi to rebuild a better and stronger Japan.

Dusit International introduces 'EI8HT' New Face of Dusit.com

Dusit International, recently launched the first edition of its brand new Dusit magazine under the title 'EI8HT'. This quarterly magazine is aimed to build stronger relationships with Dusit's guests as well as extending the Dusit lifestyle brand and inspiring the global travel seeker with endless possibilities, by enhancing the guest experience no matter what the journey. At the same time it will be a vehicle in which Dusit's CSR programmes are brought to the fore and grow their profiles, such as Dusit Smiles for Operation Smile and Dusit's Food for Good, which will be launched soon.

Founder receives SENSES Lifetime Award 2011 Japan & Dusit, Friends Forever Appeal' to support Japan's Earthquake Recovery

Dusit International, celebrates the achievement of its founder, Thanpuying Chanut Piyaoui, who has recently been awarded the "SENSES LIFETIME AWARD" at the SENSES WELLNESS AWARDS held on 10 March 2011, Berlin Germany.

The SENSES Wellness Award has become a quality seal for the international wellness industry when it comes to rating luxurious spas for quality and standards of guest services, as well as for comprehensive and professional treatments and atmosphere. This year marks a special occasion as it is the first time this accolade has been accorded in Asia, and the first time the SENSES LIFETIME AWARD has been presented to an Asian hotelier.

Dusit International together with its hotels and resorts across Thailand, as well as Manila, have established the Japan & Dusit - Friends Forever Appeal, to raise funds and make contributions to help Japanese residents who have been affected by the recent earthquake and tsunami. All the monetary donations raised will be presented to the Japan Red Cross by the Japanese Association in Thailand, and the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines.

From now until 18 April 2011, Dusit's staff and guests are encouraged to make a donation through fundraising activities including Guest Donation Envelopes placed in all guest rooms and dining venues, as well as the request on check-in of THB 100 donation per night for guests to make a contribution to the appeal.
